Day 6 20/08/2026 Etosha South to Swakopmund (B,L,D)
After an early breakfast, the drive today takes you south past Namibia’s highest mountain, the Brandberg which peaks at 2,573m above sea level, and west to meet the coast at Henties Bay.

You then continue south to the coastal town of Swakopmund where you can enjoy the pleasant seaside location and cooler coastal air for the night.

Should there be time this afternoon you can explore the town and wander along the waterfront on foot, before heading off for dinner at a popular restaurant which specializes in locally harvested fresh seafood as well as other local and international dishes (if it is included).

Check in at Swakopmund Guesthouse for a 1-night stay.

Day 7 21/08/2026 Swakopmund to Sossusvlei Area (B,L,D)

Today, you leave the coast behind and head for the Sossusvlei region. The fascinating drive today takes you south-east through awesome and ever-changing desert landscapes via the impressive Kuiseb and Gaub Canyons and through the dunes to the settlement of Solitaire.

Arrival should be in the late afternoon, with time to enjoy sundowners appreciating the unique surroundings of the Sossusvlei surrounds.

Sossusvlei is a photographer’s dream. In fact it is so unique and beautiful that it is hard to take a bad picture. Only a five-hour drive from Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, it is one of the most sought after and unique destinations in the country. The stark yet ethereal beauty of Namibia is on full display here with the skeletal remains of old camel thorns strewn amongst salt pans, surrounded by some of the most spectacular sand dunes in the world. This endless expanse of wilderness is home to desert adapted species such as the Gemsbok (Oryx).

Day 8 22/08/2026 Soussusvlei Area (B,L,D)

Today is dedicated to exploring this remarkable area with your guide, rising early to make your way into the heart of the Namib Naukluft National Park for magical excursions into the dune fields.

As you are already inside the park you can get into Sossusvlei before everyone else and you would even be able to get there in time to see the sun rise over the dunes and to capture the dunes whilst the light is soft and shadows accentuate their towering shapes and curves, if you are prepared to get up early enough.

This area boasts some of the highest free-standing sand dunes in the world. Your guides will give you an insight on the formation of the Namib Desert and its myriad of fascinating creatures and plants that have adapted to survive these harsh environs. Once you have explored the dune fields to your heart’s content you can enjoy a relaxed picnic brunch in the shade of a camel thorn tree.

Day 9 23/08/2026 Soussusvlei to Hosea Kutako (B,L)

This morning you will depart from the Sossusvlei area and return to Windhoek, driving northeast up the Great Escarpment and through the scenic Khomas Hochland highlands.

A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic location along the way and you should arrive in Windhoek in the mid to late afternoon.

Upon your arrival in Windhoek you will be transferred to the Windhoek International Airport in time for your international flight departure check-in.

Here your guide will assist you with your check-in and after your final ‘goodbyes’, this will also signify the official end of your safari.
