Having travelled extensively
for the past few years…I have always been in close contact with locals all over the world…. but the bhutanese
came across as really genuine and warm.

And I am really glad that we will be given the opportunity in this trip to take photos of the students in
a local school. From previous experiences.. kids are always excited with photo taking.. because photos/cameras
are not as common there.. compared to Singapore.

English is widely spoken amongst the locals.. especially the younger generation. They focused alot
on education and they know that with education, they can make improvements to the country.

Phobjikha valley, where the Black-necked cranes flock to every winter season, is an amazing place.
Its a bowl shaped glacial valley on the westen slopes of the Black mountains. I love the feel I get from there,
the landscapes and the weather ( much cooler).

For travellers/photographers, Bhutan offers great photo opportunity in terms of landscapes, portraits, and of cos the colorful costumes during the festival. Also, we will be looking out for the black neck cranes, taking great photos of them, and raising the awareness of the plight of the cranes and the conservation progress.

Having done photography in places like Vietnam, Tibet, Kashmir, Kenya, Tanzania etc, I am looking forward to share my photography knowledge to the participants and also help you guys see things in a different light.

Hi all I will be conducting a travel photography workshop in Bhutan this November.
