DO NOT WORRY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE LONG LENSES
Fujifilm will be providing selected cameras and THE Fujinon Lens XF100-400mm for loan throughout this workshop.(For each Individual Participant)
The millions of wildebeest along with hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles crossing the great African plains and mighty rivers is one of the greatest wildlife shows on earth.
And this outstanding phenomenon happens between 2 of the finest game parks in Africa, Masai Mara and Serengeti with the attendance of majestic super predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and wild dogs.
For this trip, we have decided to stay 6 nights in Masai Mara, to witness and capture the grandeur of the migration
We will use 2 lodges for the trip as follows
Tipilikwani Camp
As the maxim goes: Location! Location! Location!
Set on the banks of the Talek River and overlooking the Mara plains, Tipilikwani Camp has one of the most spectacular views available. Set in the middle of what is considered the greatest wildlife reserve in Africa, Maasai Mara is home to one of the modern wonders of the world; the wildebeest migration as well as home to the Big Five. Enjoy an alfresco breakfast by the Talek River or a cold refreshing drink over a spectacular sunset or experience fine dining by candlelight all overlooked by carefully trained attentive staff. During the day, search for lions, cheetah, elephant, leopard, black rhino, giraffe, zebra, hippo and over 500 resident bird species including larks, sunbirds and the Lilac- Breasted Roller This is the Tipilikwani Experience.
Mara Serena Lodge
Situated in the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve, this safari lodge is set on the saddle of a hill overlooking 1 800 square kilometres of rolling plains and woodlands that contain one of the world’s richest wildlife sanctuaries. Few other lodges have such a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape or the game and birdlife that inhabits it. It is on this very terrain, stretching endlessly before the lodge, that the annual migration takes place, when millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle traverse the landscape to feed on the rich new grass and give birth to their young.
The Mara Serena is an interpretation of a traditional Masai Manyatta village of domed huts that are styled and arranged to blend into the natural landscape. The public areas of the lodge include a restaurant, bar, lounge, curio shop, swimming pool and beauty salon. There are 76 huts with en suite shower facilities, mosquito nets, direct dial telephones and a private verandah. Each hut is well spaced to give an uninterrupted view of the plains, the meandering riverine forest and the silhouetted hills beyond.
Breakfasts, cocktail parties and dinners are served on the terrace overlooking the waterhole where big game comes to feed. The evening entertainment includes musicians, Maasai dancers, wildlife films and talks given by a resident naturalist. Game viewing can be done from the lodge or on the daily game drives onto Masai Mara plains. Safaris by balloon or plane are also offered at an additional cost.
Specially designed 4x4wd Safari Land cruiser
Custom designed safari land cruiser with pop up roof for maximum game viewing. All vehicles equipped with long range two way HF radios linked to our main offices, cool boxes and fridges, reference guide books & UNLIMITED bottled water.

Hi William,
Am basically very interested to participate in this photographic tour and will like to know the total costs including airfare. Understood Qatar Airways is the cheapest to get there.
Have recently got into photography on a more serious note and had gone to Bhutan recently in Sept. for the festivals and just two weeks ago in jiuzhaigou, Huanlong & Chengdu.
Appreciate some further details.
